This is a secondhand Yamaha MT2X multitrack cassette recorder (6 track). Released around 1989 this model is interesting to the technically minded for its hybrid circuitry - it combined both digital (solid state) and analog components. Provides both stereo outs and individual outs for each track, effects send and receive, mtc timecode and other features. Comes complete with manual. Although in working condition (one careful owner) the transport mechanism is somewhat temporamental, but something I'd expect that a good boffin should be able to sort out.
